Top Play, Top Collaboration, Top Smartness, Top Team

Today the Middle and Senior syndicates (But at different times) had Top Team. We have to do a set of activities and got a certain amount of points for how well we did. Then we added the results together at the end to get 3rd, 2nd and the TOP TEAM! Top team is all about collaboration, strategy, work and doing your best. We also got wet though... but who cares.

We had seven tasks. Some were the Map Jump, Conveyor Belt, Gutter Ball, Test Of Balance and Burst Pipe. Each task was a new challenge. My team just was focused on winning and doing it they would be happy with anything. Even though there was only 2 out of 6 year 5's. We needed inspiration, help and co-operation. I tried to do these things but no one listened. I think they just wanted to actually do it. Classic. On the positive side at least we got tasks done. We had a bit of a laugh and came out on the flip side.

My favorite task was Burst Pipe. Overall I really enjoyed Top Team because it is fun, cool and makes people grow as a team! Unlike today. But at least I had fun!

For outdoor games you can play fetch and don’t worry the modulus stick won’t mind, it loves fetch. Or you could play whack a rabbit and try to find your rabbit in its hidey holes and tunnels. Or you could unite them with their family and make a hoop for them to fly through. I think that the bird would fly around the house and outside. This will be a test of their balance and senses. And finally this reason is personal, I think you should get the modulus stick is because it will keep you company. This very friendly, smart and emotional stick will never abandon you. It will always listen to you. It is all friend. You can share all your secrets with it, because it will always listen to you. It shares its personality and feelings with you as you do the same. Twas the night before christmas

It twas the night before Christmas and he came "Now Saturn! now, Sputnik! now, Titan and Atlas!
On, Redstone! on, Delta! Apollo, Polaris! To the top of the dome! to the top of the wall!
Now blast away! blast away! blast away all!"
As meteors blaze through the heavens up high,
When they meet with the atmosphere and burn in the sky,
So up to the dome-top the rockets they flew,
With a ship full of toys, and St. Nicholas, too.
And then in a twinkling, I felt on the ceiling
The heat of the thrusters and landing tiles peeling.
As I covered my head, and was turning around,
Through the airlock old Santa Claus came with a bound.
He was dressed all in plastics, from his feet to his head,
And his clothes were all covered in dust that was red;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a scientist opening his pack.
His visor- how it twinkled! his filter how scary!
His gloves were from Earth, the logos quite merry!
His space boots, how costly! they played songs and glowed!
The frost on his suit was as cold as Pluto;
The stump of his air tube held tight in his teeth,
And oxygen swirled round his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly

Myself, My Clothes My Style

This week I worked on my writing work. Our goal was to make a piece of writing using persuasive words. We had 3 options for this piece of writing. Have uniform, don't have a uniform or trying to persuade Mr.Moriarty to get a new uniform for our new school. We have done lots of work. This is my work. Enjoy!

Introduction Hook : It's time to stand out from the crowd! What is the argument? I think people should have freedom to pick their own clothes.

Main Point Paragraph 1 Find your bullies	Bullies won’t get away with things because they are wearing the same thing as others. You won’t get innocent people in trouble by accident

It's time to stand out from the crowd! I think people should have freedom to pick their own clothes. I also think people should be able to wear what they want because then you can find bullies easier, you can show your own style and everyone will be happy!

My first reason is you can find bullies easier. So say everyone is wearing uniform and someone kicks you and you get a teacher. Since everyone is wearing the same thing you might not find them and they could get off the hook. But say someone looks the same but they aren’t the culprit and are innocent, You might accuse them and they will get punished for something they haven't done. If everyone is wearing different clothes you could find the bully and they would get punished and no one would get accused for something they haven’t done.

My second reason is that you get to show your own style. Say you are all wearing the same clothes, how is someone going to find you? With your own clothes you can stand out and put yourself out there whether people like it or not. And you will be easier to find. Next say you want friends. How are you going to know whether you have any similarities and whether they will even be your friend! With your own uniform you can see people’s style by just a simple shirt or a stand out skirt. It’s good to be you when you want to.

My third and final reason is guaranteed happiness. So say everyone is wearing a uniform that people hate or despise. If you wear your own clothes everyone will be happy because they picked what they are wearing. But with a uniform everyone might be droopy by a pair of school pants. And if you wear your own clothes then you can show your freedom! Not everyone likes a uniform.

Overall I think that people should be free to choose what to wear because you can find bullies, you can show your own style and everyone will be happy guaranteed. So ask if you don’t have to wear a uniform so you can be free to wear what you want, when you want.
